“Where wild dreams began”—as a young African boy, the Dave couldn’t always venture into the wild as much as he wished. Instead, he wrestled with his pet puppy at home, imagining himself as Tarzan deep in the wild. “Adventures start at home,” and with each playful tussle, his passion for nature grew. What began as “puppy play” has now evolved into a lifelong “safari passion,” turning childhood fantasies into real-world adventures across Africa’s most breathtaking landscapes.

Dave and Anne, the force behind Lavida Solar, have spent decades exploring four continents since childhood, each developing a unique passion along the way. Dave fell in love with the sights and sounds of nature, sparking a lifelong devotion to wildlife and photography.
